so with the ls tranny car can be drived? and with gsr tranny not? im confuced well if the ls tranny work but the gsr not what it look like that something its loose inside the tranny or you differential on the gsr its broke!!!

Did the speedo move when you let the clutch? If so you didn't have an axle seated all the way into the diff. Otherwise you've got internal transmission issues (blown diff, final drive, etc)

sounds like internal trans damage...

 

Sounds like the final drive is gone. Pull the drain plug and see if you have any metal. Or just split it open and find out. www.helmsinc.com for the manual if you need one.

 

busted spider gears on the diff. I build about ten tranys a week but im in georgia. Unless you have somebody around with parts like me probably cheaper to find a used tranny.

 

or you busted the "change holder". open the case and you should find ur answer. only takes 5 mins to open the case
