Hey everyone I'm new to Honda tech an I just wanted to ask you guys
For some advice. My eg hatch d15z1 was running good till all of a sudden turned off ,
I was messing with intake manifold screw , after that can't get it to turn on.

-fuel pump is good
-main relay is good
-my check engine light won't turn on when I turn the key though
-changed dizzy but don't fit all 3 screws , back fires when I try starting it.


Anyone that can help me ?

TPS throttle position sensor. That is probably your issue. Rule of thumb don't ever mess with the screw on the throttle plate unless your doing it according to the field service manual.

 

Second this about correct adjustment of the idle screw. You can't just adjust it without going through the proper steps.

Also it is probably backfiring and whatnot with the other dizzy because the timing is wrong due to the mounting bolts not lining up.

Sounds as if the original dizzy may be bad if it won't fire with it, but at least backfires and tries to start with the makeshift dizzy.

 

Thanks I didn't know that about the throttle body but I will
Replace maybe whole throttle body , my buddy has one laying there.
An yea The dizzy won't fit all 3 wholes , do you guys think it will actually work ?

 

I wouldn't use one that didn't fit the holes. You will never get the correct timing adjustment out of it that you need for the engine to run properly.

 

Maybe my old one works ima try it out
Again. Do I gotta replace tps sensor or can I adjust it ?
