So heres my build thread, obviously...
Pretty much I don't have a HUGE knowledge of motor work, when it comes to blocks and heads, but this is going to be my lesson.
I will start from the day I purchased and try and post up here every time I do something to the car. I'll try and keep it pretty active.
So here it goes!
I picked up the car from a local guy/buddy knowing the car needed a bit of work, but for $2500 I knew I was getting a pretty decent deal.
Things I knew:
~Head was blown in some sort of way, Around cylinder 1 there was a large carbon/oil build up, so first guess is Valves.
~Car needed new tires, the ones on it worked just well enough to trailer the car home.
~Car had some sort of built block, Rods for sure, not sure of pistons etc.
~Car had coilovers but they were off brand and needed something new.
~The wiring on the car was complete **** and needs to be re-done.
~The Car had no battery, so that was required.
Day of pick up, the 110 mile drive home

The Tear apart Crew

Everything getting ripped apart

Found a new problem also... Not only was the head shot, but we had a *little* piston problem., one was not sitting straight, the other was destroyed around the top walls, and had a hole about the size of a pencil on the side of it... on a side note! We found out it had almost brand new Eagle Rods!

Time for new pistons!

Also picked up a new B18A1 head for dirt cheap, with a very clean inside + almost brand new cams! Along with a 52 trim turbo that was lying around that I had on an old civic.

Bottom of the head, looks like cylinder 1 had a little bit of trouble at some point, but overall its decently clean!

1 of the 2 front bumpers I currently have for it, Getting valve cover painted by my girl to match, for 1 of the looks, kinda a trashy/dirty look xD

So this is where i'm at right now, as you can see, it still needs a bit of work. Hoping it get a bit more done this weekend when I have off from work. Ill keep everyone updated!
Thanks for looking!!

For everyone reading at home, that's what happens when you run a turbo without tuning the car properly. Detonation took that piston for a rough ride, and left the lube at home.
