What do you need strut bars (that do nothing) for?

well I was just wondering if I would need anything in case I acquired strut bars. Most likely I would get sway bars though.

Non-vtec civics often have clearance issues with the stock airbox.

If you have the vtec model you should be fine.

no you don't need to install anything else to go with the strut bars...it's just to reduce flex in the chassis. most strut bars out there are crap though, so pick carefully..

look for something solid that doesnt use a bolt creating a pivot point.

I got a type r front strut bar on pure whim and it significantly helped my crappy stock set up. Buy 4 solid bolts, washers and lock washers, 8mm or bigger and your golden. Or save up for a rear sway bar and do WAY more for your handling. In hindsight that woulda been far smarter.

This is the most important part. If it has a pivot point, it's just short of worthless. The whole point of a strut tower bar is to prevent flex. A unit with pivot points allows flex, it just controls it a little better.

The best option for a strut tower bar is a 3 point, similar to what Password JDM sells.
