Adjustable end links vs non ajustable
Hey everyone I will be doing the whole rear sway bar coversion to my ek asr sub frame brace, blox rear sway bar, skunk2 lcas and during the time that I have been researching how a rear sway helps with stability, cornering, helps reduces under steer in fwd cars, etc. whats a better quality brand, blah blah. Any way I came across some other articles as I got deeper into my research that if im using coil overs that I should go with adjustable els because of proper weight balancing the constant changes in height and so on. But what if in using lowering springs would a fixed end link be ok sence fixed els are used on stock height cars. Any help to the best direction will help thanks
fixed end links offer no adjustment, so it will load the sway bars and make the car not handle at it's best they are cheaper, so the reason factory uses them.
adjustable endlinks let you pre-load one side to help the car turn in that direction. the best reason for adjustable is so that when you are in the car, your sway bar and end links are neutral setting. it offers the best handling and best performance for a DD.
but of course this is coming from a FR driving guy, and civic's might be a tad different. I doubt it though, suspension is suspension, they all work the same way haha
but bottom line is yes, you can use fixed endlinks, and with lowering springs I don't see a reason not too. when I go full coilover I will be getting adjustable endlinks but for lowering springs, I don't see the cost worth it, not sure how much they cost for civic's though might be worth putting out another 100 or so for them
