I running an exedy heavy duty PP with organic disk. No problems at all and grabs hard. engages smooth but the pedal is stiffer than stock. they do make a stock replacement though.

I guess I'll be the first to say an unsavopry thing about Exedy clutches then.
They feel just like stock. Your stock B-Series clutch when new will grab just as hard.
If you want a clutch that grabs harder and lasts a very long time then I'd say get an ACT clutch. While the pedal is pretty damn stiff I can say from experience that the ACT will take all sorts of abuse and still perform like a champ ecen TWO YEARS later.
My fiancee's ACT has lasted for over 2 years now and it has seen some really hard times. Her little B16A2 still "chirps" gears if we shift quickly enough.
ACT all the way.
*I don't judge how cool a car is by how or if it "chirps" gears - it's more of an indicator that the clutch still grabs good to me*
Sorry I had to say that

i dont know about it feeling like stock though. After the break- in period ran it hard, mad 2nd gear chirps also 3rd. It sucked at the track though because I started getting lots of wheel hop ( BFG DR's took care of that prob.). But anyways make sure you order a HD PP not the stock replacement.
I have an Exedy Organic w/ the Exedy lightened flywheel on my 93 CX w/B18C. The clutch feels really good. I just finished breaking it in, and I was finally able to get on it yesterday.
It grabs really well! Unfortunately, I was not able to compare the stock clutch to my new one, because I had everything changed at once.
The pedal feel was stiff at first, but now that I have put about 800 miles, it is very easy to engage.
If you decide to go with Exedy, get it through Mike at coximport.com! If you buy more than the clutch, I am sure Mike will have no problems hooking you up with other goodies!
Good luck on your decision.

yes just as 96 SOHC VTEC said the stock clutch is nothing compared to the Exedy organic faced. The organic can take much more abuse on the road course and has more holding power. I don't know much about ACT clutches but i hear good things about them. I WOULD buy an Exedy for my ITR again. hands down one of the best clutches for the $ on the market.

I personally have heard of one or two blowing up the pressure plate. I am sure they work well, but honestly I don't think Exedy is primarily a performance clutch company. Sure, they have stronger clutches, and sure they are cheap, but I would go with something that was meant to take more abuse that an OEM replacement kinda setup.
My vote, stock ITR, ACT, or Clutch Specialties (similar ACT, but a smaller scale operation and slightly more durable). These clutches are all meant to take the abuse. An Exedy/Daiken is just a oem aftermarket replacement with a little more hold.

well i just got my clutch yesterday...cant wait to get it installed this saturday....I'll let you know how it works when i get it broken in...I CANT WAIT!!! haha
I'm using Exedy's race tri-puck system. They hold, they really hold
But the pedal pressure's extremely stiff, plus it seems like the thing just wants to bite hard everytime you start from first gear. Took me around 1 month or so just to get used to modulating the clutch from a standing start.

well for the installation i'm gonna get hooked up because my Aunts bf owns a Bodyshop/mechanic place so he's gonna hook me up w. a price....I'm not getting it done till maybe tomarrow or monday....
regarding exedy organic
Mine's been great through its first drag racing season. Pedal feel is stiffer than stock, but took no time to get used to. Combined with the Exedy 9.1 lb flywheel it roars throught the gears and the car is still very manageable in traffic.

my GOD what do you expect?
why!? are you putting down 400+hp? I dobut it!
you dont need that much of a clutch!
On topic: exedy makes a good clutch, the stock replacment clutches work great. I have been running 1 for about a year but the 6puck goes in tommrow. (Action

Yea mine looked exactly how you said it...everything new but the pressure plate looks a lil used....I'm assuming it was manufactured tested to see if it fits the standards which hense gives a lil wear on the fingers...I could be wrong but hey...
