I just bought a 98 Civic LX sedan and the seats are very uncomfortable. I bought this as a work car and drive it a lot. I have tried two different seat cushioned.s and neither of them helped. It feels like I have a basketball pushin into my mid to lower back causing pain. Does anyone have any suggestions for this seat? If I cant resolve this soon I'm going to have to sell this car.

 

there's absolutely no need to sell the car just because of the seats.
older hondas are great because nearly EVERYTHING is interchangable.

For a 96-00 Civic, it's quite easy to swap over 94-01 integra seats (which are basically bucket seats), or even del sol seats (my personal favorite). the only thing you really have to do is swap the rails, which is quite easy to do, just tedious.

Also, 99-00 Si seats are different from other 96-00 civic seats, some people like them, some don't. but those are 100% drop in. no need to swap rails or anything.

if you want low seats that really hug you, get del sol. but lots of people prefer integra seats, they even come in standard cloth, leather (from a GSR or even GS) and also suede (from a type r)

if you wanna go above and beyond, there's numerous people that have even swapped in s2000 seats, rsx seats and ep3 seats. that will take a bit more fab work though, but if you have that knowledge, more power to you.

 

I have Prelude seats in my Eg. I had to fab a little but I love them

 

I had one of those cars I hated the seats, I dont know what they were thinking, I guess cheap like everything else in the car
