Hey y'all I just bought a pcv breather filter for my D16Z6. When you pull off that rubber hose to hook it up, what happens to the other end, the one on the intake? Does that get capped off or stay open? Wouldn't it make a vacuum leak if it stayed open?

Cap it, or put another breather filter on it. You don't want to let unfiltered air into your system.

 

Aight. I think I'm not gonna do that since the PCV line from the valve cover to the intake is mostly a metal line that is welded to the coolant line that runs to the IACV. I'm not gonna saw that **** off and risk rupturing that coolant line. Thanks muhfugga.

 

You can remove the rubber vacuum lines and leave the metal line hanging. That's what I did until I removed the metal line and replaced it with a full rubber line.
