hi guys, I am going to change my rad cap but I don't know whats best OEM? What brand do you guys use? My car is high mileage, all stock.

Can a bad rad cap cause the overflow level to increase and fill up? My car started overheating and I checked the rad overflow, it was past full, the rad itself was a bit low. I dumped the overflow to between low and full, filled the rad, car was fine.

p.s.- yes, I'm burning coolant too. I'm still trying to save up for engine work (HG), but I know the rad cap COULD cause this issue as well.....

 

OEM. Anything else for a stock car is useless/overkill.

 

OEM though is what, 25 bucks at Honda? I'm thinking just going to PartSource or Canadian Tire? (I'm in Ontario)

Dude, check the brand of your radiator. Go to which ever parts store you'd like. Buy the cap. Go home. As long as it can hold pressure, 15p.s.i., it'll do the job as a cap.
