Clutch question please help

Icon2 Clutch question please help

Ok so I was driving down the street and went to shift engaged clutch pedal and it never disengaged....tried it for a minute turned off car and tried it again it worked I'm confused is that a sign of me needing my clutch replaced or something else ?? Thanks for the help

Possibly the slave cylinder. It could be the clutch master cylinder but I doubt it. What are you driving? I'm going to assume one with a hydraulic clutch.

I'd check the slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder to see if there are any leaks first.

I think there is a leak lot of gunk and oil around it should i replace

Is the fluid in your clutch reservoir low? If so, I would say something is leaking, whether it be the slave cylinder or clutch master cylinder. I'd replace whatever is leaking, bleed the clutch and you will hopefully be good to go.

I don't know because the reservoir look full maybe ill try bleeding cause it does look like a leak I think ill replace both cylinders if if all else fail Ill replace the clutch thank you well much appreciated
