do you have a dyno sheet? I am having a hard time believing you made 198whp on that header with that setup.. Crome does the same thing as hondata. you wont gain anything by switching except a lighter wallet..

I want it for data logging. I have to find my sheet. You don't have to believe it lol. I for one don't find it to be something impressive or worth bragging about myself. You can see in the video how it moves. It has a LOT of room to grow. But it really is alot of fun to drive. My whole powerband because of the header etc is arched all in the mid range. That is the reason for the exhaust change up etc. I am just waiting until I have cams and cam gears before I put it all in and have it retuned.

The reason I do not believe this , is because the collector is smaller. the only power mods you have are an intake and exhaust. b16 is the same as itr.. so you mean to tell me, that your making 198 WHEEL with a smaller manifold and just an intake an exhaust? when you say "toda built head" , what exactly are you referring too? As you list stock components. Also, 198wheel hp is nothing to laugh at. Im not knocking on you, I just cant see that.. I guess anything is possible..

I thought the same tbh.. 198 HP with the current setup you have is although not impossible, but hard to achieve I would think.. Regardless the important thing above the numbers is how it drives and it seems like you have a fun car you've put together..Plus the Si looks nice and clean, good job! Once you go through your next set of mods and re-tune I'm sure it will feel even better.

Ya I don't know if it was the dyno or the tune but those were seriously the numbers given back to me. maybe its the enios lol..... Regardless after I make the full exhaust switch up this week and snag my cams and cam gears and have a retune done I will be sure to video tape the monitor when the final results and the power bands are all finished. I was looking for my sheet but its somewhere between illinois and michigan lol, I don't know what house I left it at... I don't know much about honda, I was pissed when I got the results back thinking that it was terribly weak lol..... It just feels so much faster but I guess im used to my heavy *** hog wrxs.

A friend of mine has a set of Bisi headers for sale and I could run all 3" @ that point if I am not mistaken. Should grab those or a set of skunk 2 2.5" ?

Ok so I think I found the headers I am going to snag just because they are lighter than the skunk 2's by like 10lbs and from what I read are supposed to have good ground clearance (as you see my car sits pretty low) But I am having a hard time finding many reviews on them.... All the reviews about Vibrant are for like 06+ hondas & youtube videos. Plus I save more on them via motovicity. Here is what I have in my cart to order and would like to order tonight so its all here by Friday. Let me know what you guys think..

Headers - 325.60$ (Weight 18.5lbs)
http://www.customcarscentral.com/vbr...FegWMgodomIA8A

Catback- 509.58 (Weight 43 Lbs)
http://thmotorsports.com/i-35624.asp...FbFAMgodnWMAAA

Skunk Alpha 70mm (102.00) Throttle Body Port match to ITR Intake Manifold.

Suggestions? Or does this seem like an optimal least restrictive option for airflow & tunning? When I had my car tuned I was getting alot of choke points in my current exhaust header back. I have an ITR TB at the moment.

I wouldn't jump on everything at once. save some cash an go with an omni power 68mm tb . its like 60$ looks factory etc.. and that header is a good option. very well made. Invest in a set of cams instead of the exhaust. if your making what you are already, you shouldn't have a problem or issue seeing a few more hp.

Consider this header: http://www.privatelabelmfg.com/produ...b20-header.htm
Also have you considered getting the head milled ? to increase comp would widen you cam choice .015 to .030 as far as amount taken off

I ended up getting the exhaust so far.

I got a toda replica header 2.5" collector
black works 2.5" test pipe and had a 3" flange welded on to fit the exhaust.
Thermal 3" exhaust (so in love with it!!! looks stock and clean, no more huge can)

It's so odd (coming from a wrx) I can hear the air passing now and it seriously sounds like it is about to spool up lol... its really wierd. I am going to hold off a bit on the TB and the cams and just getting what was put on retuned as there should be 0 restriction tommorow @ 10am. I will be sure to get a pic of the chart or a vid of it this time around.

I can say this, Being that my car is tuned for the dc headers I feel like I have 0 midrange power now and all this crazy top end power. Feels like a different car, I am curious to see how the tune comes out and what the #'s are.

James please stop saying "headers" please!!!! It one header so say header please. You sound like a serious newb saying headers.

I love hearing people BAG on the DC header brand. Why do 90 percent of them BAG on them because they heard it on the internet lol. I made 240 hp through a DC header with my 2.0 12-1 motor with very little head work and a set of Brian Crower street strip cams. Ohh did I mention it was on pump gas and very daily driveable. I did have to go to a different header to option once we swapped in a set of S2 P2 cams to optimize the power band of the pro 2 cams. Now the car makes 257hp on race gas.

Good luck with your build and dont listen to the Sheeple, instead do your own research and learn what works. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.

Lol it is a truly terrible habbit saying "headers" lol I try to catch myself on it all the time. Ya I've been doing some homework on cams etc. Also I snagged a B20 block. It will be some time probably next spring being realistic until the B20 is built and I have a new built head for higher comp.

Currently I am @ 187 whp on 93 octane. Limiter set @ 9.2k. The loss in mid I can feel, however its not much and the top feels like it can keep going and going. Love the thermal exhaust, no more huge can! But a ton of drone. Don't care much for the toda replica header. Either way the car is a blast to drive how it sits I plan to enjoy it all summer as is while I begin the assembly of a higher comp NA B20 build.

I'm sure this was not the dc 4-2-1, as that header is designed off a STOCK b series manifold. The collector is the ONLY thing that is slightly different. I know a few people running factory manifolds making xxxwhp. Your point? Its all relative to your build. throwing x parts at something expecting it to make xxxwhp NEVER works. While you may have made XXXwhp off a DC brand header does not mean you couldn't have made more using a diff. x brand header. I made 5 whp and 3 ftlbs all over switching from a dc 4-2-1 to a jdm type R 4-1 knock off. Saying what you have as if your all knowing and everyone elses opinions are just "sheep amongst the herd" is arrogant as F***. and some would say making 17whp off race gas an set of cams vs pump and cams isn't exactly "stellar".. Again , all relative to ones build.

That's the new power band on the road. Much better feel in the end and harder pull to the car, still needs work as wot I'm throwing 92% fuel through my injectors @ peak, I am going to get bigger ones after some homework that have great reviews and proof of a great spray pattern. In the video I sound happy about tapping my limiter but really its more of a damn it you dumb **** moment lol..... also from what I read for "my build" and budget just port matching a 70mm throttle body to my ITR intake manifold will be sufficient

there is no reason to go 70mm.. Your spending money in all the wrong places.. i told you that before.. Its not about the name brand baller status. Its about matching parts to effectively make power. Nothing "new" has really been done to these motors in a long time. Quite a few people have made power useing x bolt ons vs what your running with good results. Since you like wasting money, i need to get my timing belt done.. :-p

I am just going off what my tuner told me would help pull decent gains. Baller status I could care less about lol.

I get all my parts @ cost through his shop as well, considering I have his sign on and password for motovicity I'd have to say that's a pretty bad sales pitch.

you should be getting a set of cams first...before changing up the exhaust and everything. Why? so you have something to go off of with current parts vs other parts.. you can only do so much with factory cams and throwing minor bolt ons arent going to make much of a diff and at the end of the day you couldve got a nice set to throw in.
