Default 95 Civic Door issues

So i got a 95 civic that has been hit on the driver side door (work buddy had it for a few years after the hit and cant fix it so he let me have it for a project car). It came with a new used door, so ive been trying to get it to line up and shut correctly. The old hit door actually shut and latched after the hit so i figured the new one should be able to be made to latch atleast for now. So i have it almost able to latch, just need to make a few minor adjustments and it should latch, but my issue is when i open the door it drops about 2 inches and to get it back to the almost latch possition i have to lift up on the door. And yes the door mounts are tight and they do not move when i open it.... so im lost any suggestions? Anything helps.

After messing with it for a bit more got no where with it. Still almost latches but still drops. When i open the door only thing i notice that moves is the whole door itself. Double checked the mount on the door and from the door to the body and all bolts are tight. Not really sure what else could cause it to drop like that, could take pics to see the damage if it would help.

Does the body bend or whatever when you open the door?

Maybe try and losen it up, then before you actually tighten the bolts, hold the door UP as it should be in place?
