Default Cluster swap issues

i have been searching for hours and i can find is incomplete wiring diagrams for how to swap a 2002 civic cluster into a 1996 civic. i've only on tach, fuel gauge and lights to work. i cant find what temp gauge wiring speedo, parking brake light, and a few others. the cluster also clicks and all gauges drop and shake when i first turn car on for 10 seconds.(maybe i have wrong powers or grounds?)
any information would be awesome. getting frustrated with not getting all the information.

Why are you doing this?

Why don't you just get the proper cluster?

Your dealing with 2 completely different cars...

Which cluster should he get then? Im curious because i have a 97 civic dx hatch and i dont have a rpm guage. I have seen the cluster WITH the rpm guage that i need but what year/model civic is it off of? I think were both looking for the same answer except i havent tried a cluster off a different car lol.

you should start you'r own thred....

But if you want the rpm gauge get one from an EX or Si it clips right in. as for the odo you can take it out and swap it into the new cluster 3 screws and you're good to go.

OP Don't try to hack that cluster in it looks like **** anyway. get an 96-00 cluster from another civic their cheap(80 or so) it's possible but it's a whole lot easier to go and get the proper one
