Default awd ek project.

the part list for my car was basicly complete drivetrain from a 99-00 crv.*

- gearbox + brackets + cables*
- starter ( you will need to grind off the starter or the block to make it fitt in - i reconmend you mock up the box and motor before you put it in and you will see right away what i mean )*
- driveshaft*
- rear differential*
- axles ( i used two right ones in my setup, reason- the rear diff in the crv is not in the middle, so the axles are differant length, but i put it in the middle in the civic an could use them with no mods at all, no need tho shorten or lengthen them )*
- trailing arms*
- lower control arms*

also used*
- integra rear shocks*
- e-brake cables from any civic with drum brakes*
- civic shuttle gas tank ( i strongly reconmend a fuelsell for this - i regret not have)*

think thats it.*
to go for front five lug ,the ITR front is the easyest way to go, do not waste time on the crv ones .

its ugly as hell but who cares*

i bought a complete drivetrain from an crv , gearbox, driveshaft ,diff ,axles ,lca´s and trailing arms ...

and shittlode off coffee

started on the trailing arms..

and started stripping it down

fitted the trailing arms...

and now "how in the ...." began ..

tried to use the crv mounting bracket for the diff but the work in changing it to fitt was stupid so i made a new one..

now the front end

took the old D out..

the crv box...

test fitted ..

this was the only mods i needed to do to but it in...

got an old b16a2 to mock it upp ..

shaft fitted in..

and hanging the diff upp was next..

next was cables ...

and now gas tank from a shuttle...

finished the front end..

hanged the shaft up..

re routed the exhaust..

painted..

assembled..

finished the floor...

and reddy to drive.

hope u like it. :sac:

Have you thought about the rear diff's power handling abilities? They're basically worthless for anything more than stock power. That's the main reason I haven't started my AWD CRX yet.

if it breaks it breaks..

i have abused it allot and it still holds up (so far) and im not aiming for 500 horses anyway , and if it becomes a problem then there are allot off other differentials that can hold up the abuse for longer time but they all break in the end.

the civic is lighter, and runs on smaller tires so the strain on the diff is not as much.
i have seen many different ways to modify the rear diff so it holds up and seen up to 4-500 horses so nothing should stop you...

i would start on the crx if i were you cus this is allot of fun to drive

E for effort, that is a lot of work. Not sure what country you are from, but Honda does make an AWD ek, called the Orthia. It came with the same b20 the curve did

Btw, the curve and it'd use the same front brakes

You think you could post a video of it running? I'd really like to see this car in action. Great work by the way

he has sent me a few messages .
they main idea was to be able to get it fixed if i would break, and not have to modify everything again and again.
