My 93 hatch (dx) has a diesel (not loud) kind of noise coming from the engine and it can be heard best when sitting inside the car at idle. The noise goes away when I accelerate, only noticeable at idle.
YThe TB and water pump and plugs are new. Any ideas? I thought maybe it has worn piston rings, or engine bearings. I adjusted the valves but the sound is still the same.
It has 103k miles, runs good, and no sign of head gasket leaks or oil burning.
Appreciate any information that can help me pinpoint this.
