z6 intake manifold on y7 bogging issues
Today i did a z6 intake manifold swap on my d16y7. I used the z6 fuel rail y7 tb and y7 injectors. i used a new y7 intake manifold gasket And reused the stock y7 tb gasket because part store said it would take a week to order. The car idles fine and revs up perfect while the cars not moving in neutral, however when i drive it if i go over 1/4 throttle the car immediately bogs right out. it does this in every gear all the time. i was thinking maybe it was because i reused the stock tb gasket And maybe it was leaking but it looked fine and like i said perfect idle, it doesn't idle high like i think it would if it was the tb gasket. also was the y7 intake manifold gasket the right gasket to use? I just dude the same manifold swap last summer and i think i used the y7 gasket but can't remember. it doesn't leak any coolant. if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. i ordered a new tb gasket but that wont here till next week. all sensors map, ups, iacv are hooked up properly.
If the car is idleing fine than the bogging issue is not a vacuum leak from the t/b gasket.
Im not 100% sure but am pretty confidant you should have used the z6 I/m gasket.
Did you mix up the map and tps connector? They look the same

Map and tps wires are correct. I've tried searching about the intake manifold basket but no luck. if it was the i.m. Gasket wouldn't it also idle rough?
Yeah idle would be surging if there was a vac leak anywhere.
I would do as bswapped said, and check the voltage on the tps, calibrate to spec if needed.

probably a long shot, but have you checked any ignition components, ie: wires and spark plugs..my car started bogging down when id give it gas about a month ago, changed the wires put new plugs in and it was fine after that. just something to check,ya never know.
And now im noticing the car bog when i rev it in neutral when the cars not moving. important gonna replace the tb Gasket once it comes in im thinking its a vacuum issue
No cel and yes d16y7 iacv and plugged in. now important not sure if its a vacuum leak i plugged the hole on the tb opening that goes to the iacv while the car was running and it imnediatly died out. id think if there was a vacuum leak the motor would have stayed running.
Correct so you've ruiled out vac leak essentialy. have you bled the coolant sys and is you'r timing on mech/ign
I also should note that i didn't connect the evap i capped off the charcoal canister. i wouldn't think this would cause think this would cause this issue though because i did the same thing on the same manifold swap on my 2000 dx last summer and it ran fine (car now is a 97 dx)
Problem fixed. the fitting where the fuel hose bolts to on the fuel rail was different z6 vs y7 i had to put the fitting from the y7 rail onto the z6 rail it was starving for fuel.
