High rev h22
I'm looking to make my h22 rev even high then 8000 rpms is it possible and if so what would you suggest to start with I know I'll have to change a few things like a tranny that can handle high revs and even the gauge clusters thoughts please
I already knew I wouldn't get that out of a stock engin that's why I was asking on some options on where is the best starting points on getting a higher rev count I wasn't looking for a stupid answer just some advice on where other might have started to get their own result

wow i really didnt see you put 8k rpms i thought you said something like 800 idle rpms.. lol .. the cut off on a h22a is like @ 6,800 rpm for JDM -USDM is @ 6,800 rpm too so your blow stuff up if your trying 8k
Is it 2003?
You need an all out race motor with 15:1 compression and at least e85 or better with some custom cams that will make power at 10k. I rev mine to 9k. I can easily rev to 10k but it doesn't make power there so it's useless.

Compression - Helps
Fuel Type - Why bother? Sourcing the fuel is a pain as it is along with the conversion.
Cams - Yes, so much yes.
Take your RPM number and throw it in the trash for the moment. Do you have any idea how much power you want to make or do you just want a high revving engine?
Smhh some ppl just never get it.
Take a perfectly good engine a MULTI- billion dollar company built and think hay i csn do it better.
If they wanted the h22 to rev out that far they would have made it do that. You dont think they know were to rev EVERY engine block till it breaks?
Its called R&D and MILLIONS.
If after all that being said you still MUST rev that high, give Ross Brawn former team boss for Honda F1 a call. I am sure he can bore you to death on wha it takes to rev a motor up that high and beyond
Hope it helps.
Btw he is a super nice guy met before, tho he prob laugh at you.
