Icon2 New Here! :) 2006 Honda Civic EX 2 Door Coupe

Hello,

I was told by a local Honda Repair shop that my side engine mount needs to be replaced - about $500 on parts and labor. This was mentioned right after my engine starter failed and replaced by them. From what they said, it seems as if though its an urgent matter.

A few days later, I went to get my oil changed at a "REAL" Honda dealership and I told them about the side engine mount. The rep said that they checked it out and said its not serious at this time and not for a while.

In regards to the side engine mount, there is some cracking, and more visible when you start the engine. The steering wheel vibrates.

Any thoughts on what I should do? Either case it should be replaced, but the question is how serious and when should I do this?
