Default 97 del sol si engine harness

Hi there HT,

So I have a 1997 Del Sol SI engine harness and I'm missing the 2nd piece of the harness where it connects to the ecu. I was wondering if there's any other 2nd piece harness that is compatible to the 97 Del sol SI I can use and isn't hard to find. Thanks

It's not, not even close.

'96 - '97 Del Sol Si will work, if it's a 5 speed model a '96 - '97 Del Sol VTEC harness will also work. '96 - '01 Integra may work. '96 - '00 Civic wont work.

Because they use the same alternator plug. All of the plugs on the harness are the same as a '96 - '00 EX civic, but the harness design is completely different. '96 - '00 Civic is one piece and goes right through the firewall to the ECU. Del Sol is 2 piece and joins at the shock tower plugs.

A legit Canadian OBD2 civic uses a 3 wire alternator plug, US is a 4 wire square plug. '96 - '00 Canadian Civics don't have an ELD that's why.

you know I totally thought most Honda's had harnesses that unplugged on both sides

I thought it was a pretty cool feature especially when I was putting a new motor in :D

Some do and some don't. '92 - '95 Civics and '94 - '01 Integras also share the two piece design.

It is, although you can still pull the one piece harness with the engine, it just requires removing the battery tray and feeding the harness out through the firewall.
