Is the DC jdm itr header worth it?
If you dont mind I just want to get ppl's opinion on this header since I'm just about done braking in my crvtec motor and need a header (stock gsr just wont do). I'm just wonder if the DC jdm itr header is worth it for 280 bucks or get the jdm itr header for 400 bucks. Motor is built with mid compression and ctr cams b16 head p/p ect. Does anyone have dyno charts to compare or where I can see some? Thanks for your helpful insight.

It made a big difference over the stock header I had on my GSR. now I just gota get bigger piping to match the header and 2.5 cat I have. I paid 240 for mine used with a testpipe.

You should get better gains from the DC versus the JDM ITR, due to the slightly larger tube size (1.75" versus 1.69"), a larger collector and better merging of the tubes. You should clean up the welds a little in the collector from a couplethat I've seen, but that's no big deal. Because of this clean up of the welds I'd recommend going with the stainless version since you'll remove the ceramic coating if you clean up any welds.
However, if your car is lower considerably. You may want to go with the JDM ITR since it has a little bit better ground clearance.

SHURE IS, until you crush it
if you did, my bad for jumping to that conclusion, but I find it very hard to believe that people go around causing serious damage to that header.
here is one members experience with the DC JDM 4-1. and he is a VERY careful driver. just goes to show you, bad roads + DC JDM =
he's lowered on H&R sports too.

Yep, the thing will scrap alot... Thats the only thing I dont like about it. But I raised my car up some to try to get a better ride and to get a little more clearance. Buut other than that, the header is a fine piece IMHO. ANd for the price, you cant go wrong.
I'm getting it in Phx. AZ. at Versus motorsports. You can look them up online but the number for their Phx. is changed I think cause it doesn't pick up.
Yes, its worth it. The overall header of the DC is good notch for the bang for the buck. The only downside, as everyone else stated, its hangs a slight lower than the JDM ITR.
Other than that, its a excellent header for $280.
I don't have any of my dyno charts right now at work, but I can email it to you later tonite. I put down 136lbs of torque with a mid compression, CTR cams, VFAC, custom cold air intake, and DC JDM header. I'll email them to you later.

Power for the money

, and road clearance does suck, especially on a lowered car. I have 2 small dents on the bottom of my JDM DC. Not enough to hurt power, but enough to drive more carefully from now on.
I got good power gains over the stock itr header. I'm stock ride height... and scratched it very lightly... once. I also put the splashguard back on and had to cut the part that sat near the header since it had started to melt b/c of the heat. I'd recommend this header over the jdm itr header. Just don't go barrelling into someone's driveway and look out for obstructions in the road.
Now, it is no SMSP or hytech header. But I got mine for 260 and for that price, there is nothing else comparable.
