Yes I searched on here and I could not find any info I was looking for I looked over many forums and searched but nothing so im asking for a lil help I came across a sohc vtec head with roller tip rockers I wanted the valve cover but ended up taking the whole head off the car complete head and valve cover I only paid 60 bucks

 

civic vx and civic hx.

 

Pre 2001: D15Z1, D16Y5, D16B5.

 

Well thanks for the info I don't need the head but I wasn't sure if it was something good so I grabbed It like I said I just wanted the vtec valve cover that was on it , civic hx and vx I thought were non vtec though this head is vtec

I haven't been messin with Hondas for all that long but its strange to use roller tip rocker arms to me for something that doesn't have much performance and are more for commute aren't the vx and hx real close to the cx which I have a 92 cx hatch and I couldn't wait to get that transmission out those gears are a mile long lol but all in all I guess I just compared it to my drag car lol with a big block chevy full solid roller cam ive been challenged to get my hatch to run as fast or faster than my chevy in the 1/4 I have a lot to beat seeing that the chevy runs 10.90s, well I learned something new that's weird but cool I guess

 

they have vtec-e. not really vtec in the traditional sense. i suspect they use the roller tip rockers for better efficiency, as that's the name of the game for those motors.
