Default Does anyone make a block off plate for a tial 50mm BOV?

Just as the title states. Does anyone make a block off plate for a tial 50mm BOV?
I want to temporarily block that flange, and remove the valve but still be able to drive.
If anyone knows a site or plate that makes this please let me know....did search on the forums and google and can't seem to find anything.
Thanks.

Why don't you just tape it?

I am using this on a diesel engine where the valve is electronically controlled.... not just controlled through vacuum on a gas engine. I want a block off plate just incase the electronic controller takes a crap, where i can simply just block the bov off and still have power to drive.

I tried searching but couldn't find any specific to the BOV, but TiAL does sell block-off plates for their wastegates. If you can't find one and are in desperate need, try emailing TiAL about it. Its probably a simple matter of machining one if they dont make it already

Buy a flange and weld a plate over it. If there was a market for it, it would have been done already.

Won't work. Needs to be the female side, and all the flanges are male.

It will if you use a thick O-ring and flattened out the lip on the donor. If one was capable of welding aluminum, I would hope they would have figured that one out...

Haha, maybe... but who in the hell blocks off a BOV anyways? Spend the money to do it right or wait until you do have the money.

It is, but any pressure inside the pipe will push against it with no pressure source on the top side of the diaphragm.

The spring keeps it close tho .
At lest that's how mines work. It has an 8psi spring (for 18-20inhg of vac).
And it's hard to push open with my hand.

We all are more aware of that. What happens when you go above what the spring can hold back? Haha... wow, thanks for the laugh.

The point is it should stay close till too much boost comes in.
Should be go enough to drive tho.

it doesnt take much boost at all to force a tial open. stock diesels run 25-30 psi going to get groceries.
