Default Anyone ever had a problem installing a new oil pan gasket?

I just went to replace mine and in the end felt like smashing the oil pan against everything...

One side of the gasket keep lifting pull inside the pan and it is literally impossible to hold that end of the gasket in place once you try to mount the oil pan.

And then every once in a while the other side would try to lift like the stupid fn gasket was made a few mm too short...

I will be returning this pos tomorrow for another but it's so frustrating to be slowed down by the most simple things.

Hopefully the next gasket fits just a tad better...

I ALWAYS use a FEW SMALL dabs of hondabond on clean oil pan surface lay gasket on correct way nice and neat. Let dry ( go play COD) and come back wala all better ready to put pan and gasket on. Start all bolts/nuts and criss cross around pan LIGHTLY snuging them up. Then 10ftlbs on tq wrench never leak
