I own a '99 Si and it's pretty quick, but I have a buddy with a b16 swapped into an eg hatch and it feels faster than my Si. I say go for the swap, it gives you bonus points at any show and you'll learn how to work on your vehicle, good luck.

Go eg hatch with the swap, it'll be the fastest.

all honesty, SI are slow as *****, 15.9 is not fast for a car that is supposed to be a tuned DOHC motor. please dont waste your money on a name, get yourself a 5th or 6th gen and put a swap into it, youll enjoy it alot more and the best part you wont spend as much on the actual car. in turn youll have more money to put into that engine, since youll have your unexpected swap pieces that youll need to buy.

How about a SI with a B18C5 and all the goodies you would need to have fun at the draggs or at the raod coarses https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=305776

I like my 00 Si but if I had only known what I know now about Hatches back when I bought the Si, I would have gotten a hatch with a swap.

One thing to think about if you ever decide to autocross. A Si is more competitive in it's class than a hatch with a swap is in it's class. But if you're looking for just fast, then go with a hatch.

1996 is the lightest EK

CX supposedly
which i own.
2222lbs supposedly quoted on edmunds and other sites.

after 97 and up they got PUDGEY
of course EG's are by far lighter anywho

1992 CX at 2040lbs. with full ITR swap and 4-wheel discs owns you y0!

I say any 1992-up hatch with ITR will be so much better overall than the 99-00 Si coupe.

1992 CX with GSr swap + mods of your desire to fit your driving style =

I love my setup, and although the EK is a much comfier car, I like the low weight of the EG so much more
