Hello. I was driving my car the other day and noticed aweird tapping noise.then the car died. I started it back up and it was tapping really loud and sounded horribleand came to the conclusion that it jumped teeth on timing. I proceeded to take my head off over the weekend and inspect the valves and piston heads. All looked good and no marks of hitting.put it all back together, got it in time and still tapping horribly.checked my rocker to valve clearance and the farthest one was off by .002". Set them to spec and still tapping!I'm stumped and need help. It's my daily driver

 

Make a video of the tapping and post it. Use an automotive stethoscope (or a long screw driver) to localize and/or pinpoint the problem
