08 odyssey, strange clicking/popping noise from front end.
We just bought an 08 Odyssey Ex-l with about 60k on it. Van is absolutely fantastic so far, except that at very slow speed, while turning and accelerating slowly it is making a click click click noise.
It sounds very similar to a bad CV joint, but there are a couple of things that don't add up with this.
-it does not make the noise when accelerating quickly and turning, only slowly.
-it does not make the noise in reverse
-it does not make the noise at speeds above 5mph.
Is this just a cv joint that is failing very strangely? Or is there something else common to these? We bought the extended warranty so I'm hoping it is the cv joints....
