Well to start i picked this wagon up dirt cheap, i fixed everything except its random power loss'.
When driving everything works fine but at night i notice the headlights go dim and bright a lot, almost looks like i'm flashing high beams at people. all the power inside the car does this as well, heater, cluster lights. I should add that my high beams dont work, they did when i got the car but i haven't looked into it. A few times the stereo has shut off for 3-5 seconds, when it comes back on the battery light will stay solid for however long the radio was off.
also randomly the battery light will flick on and off.
It has a newer battery, i've replaced terminals on it and cleaned corrosion. I added a new battery ground and made sure it was a good connection and also added it to the factory to double up. I added new grounds to the valve cover and checked the connections to the alternator as well. i got the car for way cheaper then a refurbished alternator is going to cost and i'd really rather not spend the money on that unless its the problem. other then this issue the car works perfectly and drives great.
