Engine and Tranny Swap
Hey guy I have an 2000 Honda Accord with the f23a1 engine in it. I was wanting to swap it out for an jdm f23a engine and tranny. Will this work? Is there gonna be alot swapping of parts that need to be done? I'm justing trying to gather a much info on this to see if it can be done. And done fairly simple. Gonna have my local garage swap out as the tranny is going south and I have some issues with the engine.
Thanks

Yes, it'll work. Should be a direct bolt-in. Be sure to re-use your old balancer belt gear as it's got tooths for the CKP to read off of. Don't know about the JDM version, but thats what I would do. Have your guys do the timing belt, water pump, front and rear main seals as well while everything is still out.
Thanks, a couple of other question with there be any complications with the tranny and cpu. I had read that the jdm had different shift points, and you would need the jdm brain? Wil most of the electrial hook be just plug and go or will there be some issues there?
Thanks
Thanks
