Default Is that Death "knocking"?

First time post here Just got everything put back together. Did the timing belt, front engine seals, oil pan seal, tons of other seals, gaskets and o-rings.

Also drained the radiator, flushed it a few times, and put new coolant back in.

Did an oil change (5w30, too thin?).

Replaced all belts.

Now car has slight knock which is most apparent on shutdown. Was NOT doing this before all of these repairs. This is coming from someone who listens to how the car runs more than he does the radio (plus the radio sounds pretty crappy when only the rear speakers work). Now I'm second guessing all of my work. I checked the timing twice though.

One thing I wonder about is the downpipe which I took off to replace the oil pan gasket. 2 of the studs, where the downpipe meets the exhaust manifold, came out. The other stud had the nut bust loose and stripped. So I didn't replace that nut and I'm wondering if it's just that pipe rattling, although, I would think that with the other two studs, it would be held on pretty tight.

Car still drives well. Although, it is noticeably louder at idle, it accelerates just as well and the noise is not apparent while driving. If it would help I can post a video.

Also saw this posted somewhere here...

" Even so, when you're turning the crank and need to change the direction you're spinning it, do it as gradually and slowly as possibe. "

I certainly did NOT follow this advice dammit. What's the worse that it could do? I'm afraid I may have uncovered the source of my knocking through my quick rotation to tighten the crank enough (clockwise) to do a timing check (counter-clockwise).
Feeling sick. Will not sleep well tonight. Will check on the timing again tomorrow as that seems the most obvious thing to check. That can be done with the camshaft sprocket and the crank pully on the timing cover, right?

Thanks for any advice, or words of console.

Uhhhh.... found the problem. Started taking the whole car apart again. Found that I had forgot to tighten the camshaft bolt. Whoops. hopefully the 10-15 minutes I ran the car afterwards didn't ruin anything.

Tightened it, checked the timing again, and it runs like a top now. Sweet.
