did you TQ the rod and main caps to SPEC? should be 23 ft lbs on the rod caps and main caps should be TQ to 43 ft lbs. did you ever plasti gauge the rod or main cap clearances? You dont just slap motors together and call it a day or its not going to last! everyone would rebuild thier motor if it was easy. It takes alot of time and percision!. I really dont understand why u up a d15 crank in a d16 or if it even works. You should have used another z6 crank as they are what the D series world desires. Or used another D16 crank from a ZC,A6,y7,y5 or y8. Another mistake u made was that you got RACE bearings when you should have got Duraglides if this car is going to be daily driven. Race bearings are made to run bigger clearances and to be rebuilt again after 20k if u get that many miles out of them. I personally used Clevelite bearings on my build.

if the rod and main journals still look polished and u can scratch ur nail over them and can not feel any scratches then the crank is good enough to use. i think your getting binded up over by the oil pump as D series have 2 different snout sizes. The ZC crank will fit in your Z6 block as the ZC and Z6 motors are pretty identical other then Vtec and the ZC having higher compression pistons... Id much more recomend using it instead of that d15 crank. . what kind of lube are you assembling with? I used the Lucus Assembly lube that is green and had a zinc in it. I broke my motor in on conventional castrol oil. Most will tell u to break the motor in with conventional oil not synthetic. Valvoline make a R1 oil that has Zinc in it which is a good break in oil. Zinc keeps things from premature wear.Goodluck
