Default Quaife lsd vd mfactory lsd for d17 tranny

Can someone please enlighten me on what would be better. Im going to, for the most part, be daily driving it. I occasionally hit the canyons and have short bursts of "excited" driving. But mainly daily driving. From what ive been reading up on other forums that the mfactory might be better for dd for the fact that they're not as noisy and require less maintenance. Everything I've read up on didn't really translate to the d17. So I just need more info from anyone who has installed an lsd onto our tranny's. Thanks in advance.

if it's daily driving with occasional canyons, you wont really be needing a LSD honestly. In my opinion, your best bet is to upgrade suspension and get wider tires.

i agree spend your money on the suspension rsx sway bars , strut tower bar will be a bigger benefit than a lsd cause you got to drop the tranny then when you do that you also find out you need new clutch so the bill just got thousand dollars bigger. get what im saying youll be happier in the long run

LSD is one of the best upgrades you can do for handling. It's noticeable even when driving normally.

MFactory makes a helical and Metal-Plate (clutch type), Quaife only makes a helical.

A helical LSD doesn't make noise and is maintenance free.

I would go with the MFactory. Stronger (forged, Quaife is billet), better bias ratio (a stage 1 upgrade is available as well that makes the bias ratio even more aggressive), lighter, and less expensive.

D17's require the L15 (Fit) fitment.
