So my koni yellows finally came in last night and as i started to go over them and begin installing the gc coilovers i came across the circlip............ The fromt and rears seem to have 2 spots for the clip and from koni its on the top location. Before i put these on should i move it down to the lower notch and why should i or shouldn't I? The car is probably going to be between 2.5-3 inch drop so which would i benefit from? I already have the gc extended top hats and was reading about the shock fork trick as well for the xtra travel is this a good or bad idea?

 

I have GCs / Koni Yellows and I have no idea what you are talking about. Can you post a picture of your "circlip" issue?

 

The clip that the GC sleeve sits on can be moved down one notch.

 

you can put it on either one. just adjust the perch accordingly. it's basically the same thing. but if you out it on the bottom one. you'll be able to lower your car more. as long as its on the bottom one. and the perch is at the top of the sleeve and it's not too low. you'll be fine.

 

ok i figured if i lowered it, it would just allow a bit more of a drop.

 

yea just try the bottom one. adjust. and test. if anything. it's not too hard to put it to the top one.

 

some new updates of the car with the lip on it and the suspension finally settled in for now until i decide to lower it more. Also got a grill as part of the deal with the lip but im not very fond of the cheapness of the grill. I suppose its still better than the factory one i dunno, im still gonna try and scoop up a real and not a knock-off grill.





Also as u can see in the pics used some of that mothers back to black stuff on the trim and side skirts since mine were insanely faded and much to my surprise it worked great.

 

is your car red or a weird color ive never seen?

 

its almost like a faded red. The clear coat isnt faded its like its just the color thats faded. The door jam says red but i get alot of people saying its a odd shade.

Cut that weird mesh out of the grill it will look alot better!

 

I have thought about that and maybe doing my own mesh..
