Hey people I'm new when it comes to Honda ecu my friend owed me some money and instead he gave me his p28

I'm doing a gsr swap on my eg hatch this p28 is chipped already so I guess it will work

My question is the p28 has a type r base map a redline of 3900
WHAT DOES THAT THAT MEAN??

 

mean's it set up for you'r friends ITR engine. redline of 3.9K no maybe a launch control or when vtec engauges. you can get a new chip for you'r engine.

 

phearable.net sells basemaps for 40 bux. you tell him alll the mods you have and he tunes it from there. he has done hundreds of honda dynos and will get you very close but it is recomeneded to have it tuned for your car ( as not all engines are alike) at a dyno. ive ran mine for years on his basemap with a wideband and its pretty spot on but could use some tweeking for best performance.
