thanks for confirming!
thats what i was thinking. so using it, is it ok for the flanges not to be flush flat? looks like ill have maybe an 8th inch gap between the actual flanges. does it need to be heated or anything?
@ b swapped - yeah very raspy, just got it in today and was setting it up in the house. all i needed was the resonator, but the last owner welded a straight pipe to the downpipe. funny thing, the straight pipe had flanges on both sides. one side was bolted to the catback and the other flange was welded. could have easily turned the pipe til the flanges lined up...didnt make any sense to me.

any reason why, care to explain? not trying to be smart, just curious. also, you said "sensors"...i know i have one on the headers in the car now, am i supposed to have more? engine is a d15b7
If your car is OBDII (meaning 96 or newer, in some rare cases 95), you have an "upstream" O2 sensor in the header/exhaust manifold to measure the AFR right after combustion, and a "downstream" O2 sensor installed at the END of the catalytic converter to measure the changed AFR to ensure that the catalytic converter is working properly. Otherwise just plug those bungs and carry on.
Care to tell us what happened with the spring bolts? I need a set, and a properly fitting doughnut gasket. That is not a very quality looking piece you have there.

i didnt feel like extending the o2 wiring, so i put it in the top bung(thats were it was before). no codes.
For what, the sprung bolts? You can get them at any auto parts store in the "emergency fasteners" isle, or (rarely) behind the counter.

im at work, just called the same store i bought it from. the p/n is 2108-18231. they told me over the phone that it is a direct ship from the mfg and it gets delivered to your home. they did have them behind the counter, so maybe i got lucky and they had a return.
rockauto.com and autozone.com has them:
dorman p/n: 03146
walker p/n: 35129
ap exhaust p/n: 4682
looking up the parts at advance online, they show that they are stocked in store...
