Can low tranny fluid do this?
I got a 94 LS with DC Headers Tanabe RM and a generic cold air with 120k miles
On my way home last night the bottom of my car was WAY to hot. I could feel it from the inside of the car. It was rough getting the car in to gear, 1st and 2nd wer the worst. Sometimes they would grind also. If i drive and keep it under 2000 i can get into 2nd but its still to rough. If i take it past 5000 i cant get it into gear unless i practically break the shifter its so hard. I havnt had time to check it yet. Im at school so i thought id post here and check some answers before i go home today. I just hope the trannys not f0cked, if it is roughly how much will it cost for new trans and have it installed.
Thanks

Sounds like the clutch might not be fully disengaging.
Well i just got home and looked my clutch cylinder is very low. Last week my clutch pedal got totally limp on the way home. I pulled over and checked the cylinder and it was bone dry, i filled it up that night and it was fine. It should not be this low already in 1 week its almost empty. Im gonna start lookin for leaks right now i hope this is whats causing all this BS cuz i dont feel like buyin a whole new tranny right now.
Filling it up is a 2 man job.. you have to have someone push the clutch in and pop it back out when you are doing it.. That way it fills ALL the way up. Just pooring it in and goin wont do the trick.. its like most **** on cars.. brakes, radiator ect. Its not gonna fill up all the way just by dumping more fluid in.. you have to bleed them or pump them.. or both.. Correct me if im wrong..
