Default 94 civic hatch Painted!!

engine bay pic

pics during wet sanding

got tired and didn't rinse it quick enough lol

my dog maggie watching me wet sand in my yard

taping it off

my co-worker (did all the taping and prep work, and of course paint.)

getting the passenger side taped n ready

we're gettin' there..

almost ready for adhesion promoter

Adhesion promoter going on..

adhesion promoter

Transtar black sealer going on.

after it got sealed.

first coat of base

took a pic with flash, after 2 coats of base

after 3 coats of base

these are bad pics because of all the clear coat dust in the air.. still waiting til thursday or friday til i bring it home since he is wet sanding and buffing it. color looks amazing and it is quite unique if you ask me.

That is all i got until i get the car back from him and get my new drivers side mirror on, my pass side oem block off plate and all the door seals on. And i got new trim for the doors where the glass meets the door, ya know the ones that always peel and look silverish/chrome underneath the black.

Looks great. Did you paint the engine bay too, or leave it?

engine bay is still the original harvard blue... When the h22 swap comes out i will paint the engine bay with HoK cocoa pearl.

I gotta re finish the side skirts and put them on and make it look more complete.

I always use meguiars yellow wax, Just dont let it dry, rub on rub off. I have never actually tried the 3M wax but their buffing products are good.

I'm sure he means behind your bumper.. you fan, lower rad support/ etc all is full of overspray now.. You also should have just removed the bumpers atleast but overall it looks smooth and sparkly

i mean by the flat satin paint jobs and championship white, phoenix yellow midori green, ya know all the common bandwagon paint jobs people choose.

Look at the car before paint. It needed paint really bad.

If you don't like it i don't care lol. I am not trying to impress people or building my car to other peoples taste, I am doing this car HOW I want it not you or anyone else...

I love it.
