Default Which head to use on B20/Vtec?

Hey all, which would produce better all motor results, B16a Head, or my B18c head? Wont the B16a head have more compression, due to a small combustion chamber?

thanks mucho?

i would say the b16 because lower compression and more air flow but this is if your going for turbo. IF all motor just get a type R motor.

i thought hte B18C head will create larger compression no.s.

see here:

also may depend on your choice of intake mainifold???

t..

PS dont mill the head too much.

i like p72 heads. the squarish quench area is better when it comes to detonation, and the intake ports are more vertical. couple tenths more compression, blah...i like it
however, pr3 heads are also good. and if you're going to have the head modified at all, throw all the "pr3 heads flow 5% better" crap out the window.

ps. be sure to clay, especially with the pr3 head to make sure you're not tapping valves. easy problem with crvtecs due to the vavle reliefs on the pistons.

i agree with this guy almost 100% although the GSR head FLOWS 5% better than the B16 head. the difference is the intake manifold. GSR also has .3 compression pts more than a B16 head.
