There's a guy by me selling a full set of CRV leather seats for $600. Is this a good deal? how rare ARE leather first gen seats?

 

I think thats a little steep, if they are minty and black maybe.

 

Not super rare either, i see alot of them.

 

where do you see a lot of them? i must be looking in all the wrong places

The leather seats only came in SE models, and those were '00 - '01 only models. So yeah they are fairly rare.

 

i have an 01 se with leather i wouldnt recomend getting them the leather is very thin they tear easy and THEY DO NOT COME HEATED which i don't understand why they didnt. the 1.6 el leather came heated, i would recomend finding el seats they would sit lower in your crv.

 

but on the plus side if you do decide to get them it will have arm rest on both sides which is nice.

 

do you think it'd be possible to fab up some kind of mounting to get Gen 2 leather front seats into a Gen 1V?

 

Dont do it . Theres a lot of them here in VA . A friend of mine has them and when he takes a sharp turn it feels like ur going to fly off to the side .

 

they came common in canada as well. mine had them, p/o kept them and reinstalled stock. he had several offers of 500 on them, so 6 isnt terrible.

 

i was going to buy leather seats but they where like 700 bucks so i ordered a heated seat kit off ebay ... only took me like 4 hours too put it in ... but i enjoyed it every morning this winter
