My cousin changed the corroded battery terminals on her 01 civic, hasn't changed the BATTERY yet.. But ever since the terminals were changed out, the car won't start, she said when she drives (After A Jump) the lights and stereo turn off when braking and back on when accelerating.. ? .. The car was just purchased, the battery is bad, and really old!! But these problems didn't occur until the terminals were changed by her brother, I told her to wait until she got the battery and i would do it all for her (; but she let him change them :/ any ideas on what might be going on?? Thx guys.. P.S, the terminals are coated RED AND BLACK, I've heard of people having probs with those particular battery termz??

 

Sounds like the terminals themselves are loose.
