Inner Tie Rod

Do I need a tie rod remover or can I just use a wrench on a 99 civic lx..

I am about to change them and wanna know before I get the car apart

You can do it without a tie rod removal tool. I put a combination wrench on the nut and a pair of vise grips on the tie rod itself and it worked fine. Good luck!

I used vise grips as well and a wrench as well with no troubles. It's just a little harder to do without the special tool.

Its easier to just rent it at autozone or advanced. Makes it easy
