Any ideas on what to do? He said it was my cat but just wanted to see what you guys would think. 95 Integra gsr, I put all my stock internals on and only thing on right now are usdm itr mid pipe and comptech axleback and I extended my usdm oem gsr cat to reach the itr piping. Besides that everything was stock when I brought it in this morning. Thanks in advance!
It's not that far off. You only need a new cat when your numbers are double or triple the max allowed. Get the cat really hot and leave it running while you wait to get SMOG'd. Also, change the oil if you haven't already. Old oil is super rich in HCs. Check tire pressure, timing, and get fresh gas from anywhere but Shell.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Turn your timing to 14btdc. Be sure it's on. (might not drive as good as 16btdc)
I'm sure by the time you drive it to your smog station it'll be hot enough. You can sit in the car and keep the rpm at 2500, 30sec-1min before they are ready to do your car. Wouldn't matter if you drive your car on the freeway for 30 min and they have you wait for 2hours then your cats cold again.
Oil change. Spark plugs/wires and rotor would be a plus. At least if you don't pass you know there are things that are crossed off your list of things to check. But if you're only off by 7ppm, then maybe spark plugs and wires will fix your problem.

So when I first went for a smog I had no gas, due for an oil change but with no check engine light on and stock internals. Today I got gas after fuel injector cleaner, did an oil change, put in that guarantee smog check emission fluid pass in and drive my car for a good 10 mins and when I arrived at the smog station I kept my car on to keep the cat burning hot. Once tested I passed with flying colors. So I'm pretty sure little factors like these will do the job. You'll only need a new car is your numbers are 2x the max or more. Buying a cat should be the last thing to buy. Hope this helps to those in the future
