94 honda accord F22B sohc
Hello honda tech members, just was looking for some quick insight on some things. I currently have a 97 prelude and a 94 honda accord, I'm attempting to take the F22B sohc from the 94 and put it in my prelude and wondering what all would need to be done to accomplish this, they're both manuals. Currently having an electrical issue with the harness after a recent car fire, with a short somewhere in it causing no fuel flow and spark because of it so i am trying to put the F22B which runs into my prelude, so i can work on my H22. If anyone has some insight it would be greatly appreciated.
Why in the world would you take the Accord motor and drop it into a Lude? The 97 Prelude H22A1 is much larger, and far more powerful than the Accords F22Bx. I would drive the Accord and fix the Preludes motor, or sell the Accord to fix the Preludes motor. It would be incredibly dumb to do that, just saying. Besides it would be an OBDI motor going in an OBDII car, which although possible it isn't a direct fit. If the harness is already bugged in the Prelude, you would need an entire new Prelude harness anyways so you may as well just fix the more powerful car. Honda wiring isn't all that complex, they tend to divide everything into separate individual harnesses for simplicity (or in your case a short somewhere).
