d15b, d16y8 tranny and clutch
so ive got a jdm d15b siting here and i recently just went and pulled a tranny and clutch out of an el for it (d16y8). now i went to go put the clutch on it and i cant get the presure plate to line up right to bolt it on and yes im using a clutch alingment tool. im not sure what im doing wrong or maybe the d16 clutch wont work on the d15 flywheel ? eaven thaugh i was told it would and read it would. its all going in a 93 si any help or advice would be great hoping i didnt buy the wrong stuff
-thanks

If the engine happens to have an '88 - '89 flywheel on it then no it wont. '90+ works though. Did you try rotating the pressure plate? The dowels are offset so they'll only line up in one place.
i did try rotating it but i could have still done it wrong, im priety sure its a 92-2000 flywheel but sombody could have switched it befor i got it any idea how i could check
ive had this happen to me once with a ef that had a swap n it had the older tranny flywheel and axles vs 90-91.
