Front suspension, what are the weak points?
Picked up an 05 Si HFP a couple of weeks ago. Drives pretty good overall under normal light throttle driving. But there is something going on with the front suspension under load when turning and hard straight line accel. Hard straight line I sometimes here a thump or knock coming from the footwell when shifting from 1st to 2nd. Adding heavy throttle in a turn will give something that feels like torque steer but it also feels like something is shifting. Tie-rods and steering feel tight and I don't think its the ball joints. No other noises really at any other time.
I figure the LCA bushings are toast. I changed the oil last week and they looked fine but who knows. Car has 71k on it.
Thanks for any help.

When I bought the car the PO had installed brand new snow tires on the stock HFP 17" wheels. Turns out all of the weird handling and steering was because of the tires. Had the front end inspected and alignment checked just to sure. Installed new rubber on Friday. I think I do have at least one if not two motor mounts that are worn, there is still a clunk here and there when shifting at high RPMs.
Side note: These Conti's weigh 20lbs 6oz, roughly. The snow tire weighed 23lbs. The 17" HFP rim weighs right around 23.5 lbs. Seems kinda heavy.
