One end of the connector runs to ground - so that should be easy.
The other runs to the fan relay. IT is a yellow wire w/ green stripe.

EDIT: By the way, the stock ground wire runs up to the thermostat housing (G101).

You have what exactly?

You can add the plug... you are going to need it and apparently you don't have one.
You can open up your harness to see if you have the wires.
If you don't have the wires, or if you don't want to open up your harness, then you can add the wires to the appropriate places.

Go look at the radiator fan relay for that yellow/green wire.
It's VERY suspicious that you don't have the wires for this.
All cars came with them from factory.

I have a similar problem. Except mine is intermittent and never comes on when it is supposed to. just randomly. All I have checked it ground wire because I put in a new thermostat.

Do you have the radiator fan relay?

I have no clue. I've never had to mess with something like this before, I wouldn't know where to look. The fan comes on, but only at very random intervals. The temp will go up and the fan won't come on, but sometimes at normal temp it will. I have turned the car off and left the key on before, and the fan came on. Then I turned it off and back to on, fan came right back on like there was no issue. But it absolutely will not come on when it is supposed to.
