so i was driving home from work today and my car just shut off so i pull onto the shoulder. the car would crank but no start. so i tryed a couple times, waited a couple minutes then tryed again and it started up with no issues? any idea wtf happened? has a CEL with just a code for evap system leak.

car is a 00 civic with an LS swap

 

Have your canister and shut valve checked out my friend had a similar cel not to long ago

 

evap sys leak won't cause you'r car to die/not start. Heck I ripped mine out the car runs fine...

 

**** happnd to mee too but mine turned out to be my distributor but check yours u never know i doubt it but doesnt hurt to check

 

Ya I didn't think the evap leak would cause this (its been on for a couple weeks with no problems)
But my car did the same thing this morning on my way to work. died while driving for about 10 minutes, sat there for about a minute of no start then just fired up :/

It has a Bosch dizzy on it, not sure how old cause I just bought the car about 2 months ago
Any other thoughts?
