Post 99-00 Si front sway on non-Si

Can anyone confirm or deny a couple of things I've been reading regarding this swap? Specifically, I'm not using the Si lca's and just trying to source correct endlinks.

1) Using the 92-96 'lude endlinks requires drilling of the bar ends to 1/2" (~12.7mm). This doesn't make sense to me for two reasons.

a) The Prelude and Si endlinks appear to both be M10x1.25, based on what
I see listed at Rockauto. If they are they are both the same thread it
doesn't make sense unless there is a shoulder that I'm not considering.
b) Drilling a 1/2in hole for a 10mm bolt also makes no sense.

2) I keep seeing mention of a 240sx endlink working, but no confirmation. If
the 'lude endlink does in fact require drilling, but this does not, it would be
a better option imo.

What about the ITR endlink?

I saw a few posts where people said those work.

They're short. The prelude ones are a bit longer. The bar will not clear the arms with the teg/del sol links (same part).

It's tight even with the 'lude ones:

Also, for giggles... Here's what the 240 ones look like... very similar.

hmmm. Didn't know that about the ITR endlinks.

Any junk yards near you with preludes? Could get a few endlinks for a couple bucks and just use them for mock up purposes and go from there.

Pretty much all I can help with, I didn't even know about the Prelude, or 240 endlink working.

That's what I'm going to try at some point. The u-pull-its are pretty picked over though and the local Honda joint just breaks them for some reason. Thanks for your input though.

The 99 maxima took a very similar endlink, check into those too.

I never did get around to updating this thread, I ended up using the Prelude endlinks. I did have to drill out the ends of the 26mm bar with a 15/32" drill to get the 12mm threaded links to fit nice and snug.

The ball joint type link was the whole impetus for this swap, I've never been happy with the jacked up angles that the stacked bushing type links are forced to exist at on a lowered car:

I used Hardrace links and their poly bar bushings as well. It was a worthwhile swap, I love the turn in with the big bar and solid linkages. Next time I'm under the car I'll snap a picture of how it all sits.

I also put a 99-00 SI 26mm front bar on my 1996 door ex using hard race's 92-96 prelude front end links but mine have a very bad angle on the ball joint side. wondering if anyone could help me figure out why. Here are a couple of pics.

I'll have to look at mine next weekend if I get under the car. I swear it isn't as bad as that, but then again it looks like the hole in the arm is under the bar...
