Default Weird cooling system issues (with video :) )

Hi everyone,

I dont know wether I have a blown head gasket or what. I might be having a leak, I saw this yesterday. I dont know if its because the street was wet but I think I might be having a leak too.

If I have a leak (water pump area) would I get bubbles in the radiator as shown in the video?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qh-ag...ature=youtu.be

As stated in my video...
Strange sound from my heater core area (heater is not working since I bought the car but I am 90% sure its the plastic flap inside the car since I hear something is loose in there) I DO hear that running watter noise that I dont think its normal
Bubbles in my radiator
No oil in Radiator
No Coolant in my oil
No white smoke
No loss of power (that I can tell)
My coolant dissapears (if I have a leak, will it get bubbles in the rad?)

Thanks!

Anyone? I am really doubting about taking it to a mechanic and get ripped of for something that maybe its not even broken.

Thanks!

Obviously there's a leak if it's disappearing. Is your car over heating?

Your video made me dizzy.

Are you losing coolant?
Is the overflow being filled up?
Is the coolant gauge above half?

It could be a hose leaking,
Water pump leak would be easy to find they leak right onto the toming belt.
And it could be a headgasket.
Im pushing coolant on my turbo y8. Runs good but any revs or boost pressure and coolant jumps out the rad.

The bubbles are just showing you there is air in the system. Regardless of where the coolant is leaking out, it will be replaced with air when the engine cools down once the coolant tank is emptied.

Once there is are in the system it will bubble out the radiator when you open it.

As said by others the leak could be anywhere.

Hi thanks for your responses! I have found and confirmed that the leak is coming from the water pump. Its leaking from the small holes of the wp housing.

So If I have a leak (having my tank empty many times) its normal to see bubles in my radiator? I hope it is

It's normal to see bubbles when you're low on coolant. Not when the system is working properly.
