Default EK driver's side motor mount

Hello all, I am well aware that the Oem/stock replacement of the ek driver's side motor mount is a horrible design. I am looking into getting an aftermarket mount only for that side because I really don't want the vibration you typically get from having all solid mounts. So my question is has anyone ever just replaced the driver's side mount with an aftermarket mount. If so how was the vibration inside the car. And yes I have all 5 mounts in but this upper mount is on its way out again.

Thank you

I only use the HASport driver's side EK conversion mount in my daily driver... all other mounts are stock. Vibration at idle is almost non-existent, although my idle is set 200 rpm higher than stock and this also reduces perceived vibration.

you can always buy a aftermarket mount with a street compound insert. which would change the single bolt top pillow mount to the normal b series and 92-95 d series drivers mount. the stock one unbolts and the new mount will bolt directly in. just get mounts with street soft compound inserts that are not solid and u wont get the bad vibrations. typically like posted above if u bump idle to 1k it takes away alot of idle vibrations. i would just buy a whole set as the back mount ( and torque mounts if the car has them) are the ones that get the most torque from the motor. i got a set like these and love them http://www.ebay.com/itm/EK-B-D-SERIES-MOUNTS-AVIDs-NEW-Tuner-Series-STEEL-MOUNTS-w-POLY-/321090301766?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ac2792f46&vxp=mtr if u want some bling you can get the billet aluminum ones both work just as good as the other.not all solid mounts cause high vibrations
