2007 CR-V head gasket
Hey guys,
I have to replace the head gasket on my wife's CR-V. I am having a problem with locating just the gasket and not a "gasket kit" with main seals and such.
You guys seem to be the only group on the interwebs that actually tear these engines apart. Hopefully you can point me in the right direction. I don't know much about all the Honda engine types or if all the k24 parts are interchangeable across models and years. Or where the best place is to buy parts.
Any suggestions?
I started a thread on the repair over in the cr - V section.
Thanks,
MT

from his repair thread in the CR-V sub-forum.
My wife's ... water pump blew out its bearings last summer (on the highway) and the vehicle overheated before she knew it. I was hoping none of the gaskets got fried in that event....but I always say you can hope in one hand and **** in the other; see which one fills up faster.
So, I'm going to change out the head gasket for her.

Better check how flat the head is. I guarantee its warped. MLS gaskets do not "blow" like older gasket types, they usually leak past a heavily warped surface to have that much contamination.
